I'm probably the only one, but it really annoyed me when we switched to being the Arbiter, mostly because no one told me so I started shooting at friends thinking that they were the enemy coz I thought I was still the Master Chief...I am probably the only one who didn't realise at first, I just started shooting at aliens without checking the targeter. What do you guys think about the sudden change?

lol well at first it was kind of confusing... especially when there were like the good elites and the bad ones

There's different kinds of elites?

yeah when you first are the arbiter your fighting 'heretic' elites and grunts

And the other ones are...

well you and the ones that are still witht the covenant (at that time)

yeah the whole good/bad Elite thing changes over the cource of the three games, that is rather bothersome sometimes.

See, shows how much I know...I thought all elites were on one side.

Is there a physical difference between the heretic ones and the covenant ones?

Other than Armour appearance no.

There's a difference in armour appearance?

yeah in Halo 2 that is. in Halo CE there are only bad Elites and in Halo 3 there are only good Elites so there was no difference in Armour there.

The change was kind of annoying but when the level started I was standing there all confused about why the Elites and Grunts weren't attacking me...........

i know right i came into camera view and saw the elites and was like "shit im outta here" but they never shot at me and i looked at my body and saw the arbiters armor and yeah

lol i watched the film clip all the way through before the level and understood completely what the change was, i was just expecting the enemy Elites to look the same as Friendly ones which would make it very hard.

See, when I first played, I wasn't interested in the storyline...I was only playing coz ORD wanted me to take the game "seriously"...I had oftenly played multiplayer and spent most of my time exploring the maps and throwing stuff at anyone who killed me before that. So then I played through the campaign on Halo 2 (coz that was the most recent at the time) and skipped the videos where I could...so I had NFI what was going on. I started shooting at them until ORD said "Hey...they're friends" and explained what was going on.

yeah i skipped the story part the first time but i restarted the level cause of something or other then i understood.
